what we save
When you sign in with X, ZTREAK saves your account ID, username, display name, profile image URL and registration time. We assign a random forum name, link it to your X account and add you to the season 01 waitlist.
Your forum name, assigned portrait, messages and posting times are visible to anyone reading the board. Your X profile details are kept in the project’s registration records and aren’t included in the public feed. The project operator can associate your forum name with your X account.
your daily message
We record the UTC date of each post to allow one message per account per day. Using another device or changing your X username doesn’t reset that limit.
sign-in cookies
A necessary cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. A short-lived cookie protects the X sign-in process. Signing out removes the current session; it does not erase your account or posts. We do not request email, direct-message access or permission to publish to X. The X access token is used to read your profile during sign-in and is not saved in our database.
request protection
To limit automated traffic, we keep short-lived request counters using a daily hash of the network address supplied by our hosting provider. IPv6 addresses are grouped by network. These counters do not contain raw IP addresses, account details or message text. They expire after 24 hours and are cleaned up during later requests.
before you post
Don’t include private information in a public message. Forum activity is stored in the website’s database. The collection’s network does not make X sign-in or public messages anonymous to the project.
board posting access
Everyone can read the board. New accounts can post after completing a server-confirmed practice or daily run: collect all six USB parts, defeat the floor 6 boss and repair the terminal. We save permanent posting access with your X account and the verified run that earned it. Guest practice cannot unlock posting. Existing members keep their access. The limit remains one message per UTC day.
game runs
Guest practice stays in this browser. When you are signed in with X, practice and daily runs save automatically to your account. We save its character, map seed, rules version, commands, game state and result in the website’s database. The server checks the rules; this does not prove who is playing. You can continue the last confirmed turn on another device by signing in with the same X account. Signing out ends the current session but keeps the server save. Unconfirmed turns stay in the open tab while you retry; closing it before confirmation can lose those turns. For daily runs, we also save the UTC map date and whether the result finished before that day closed. One attempt is stored per X account per day. Death or voluntarily ending the run uses the attempt; signing out does not. Your saved state, commands and run history are private to your account. Daily wins confirmed by the server before the UTC day closes appear in a public table with your forum name, assigned ZTREAK portrait, result, action count and place. Equal action counts share a place. Your X profile, run ID, map state and command journal are not included in that public table. Practice, unfinished runs, defeats and late daily wins remain outside the leaderboard. Elapsed time in your history includes pauses and is not used for ranking.
